“I returned to school because I wanted more than just a career change. I wanted a meaningful path where I could make a positive difference in the lives of others while giving back to my community. Through the Health Care Assistant program at Discovery Community College, I gained the knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide compassionate, respectful care.

Returning to the classroom came with challenges and moments of self-doubt, but the support of my instructors and classmates helped me discover strengths I never knew I had. DCC gave me more than an education. It gave me confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose. My advice to anyone considering going back to school is simple: believe in yourself, embrace the challenge, and trust that growth happens outside your comfort zone.”
