Justina Williams – Community Support Worker Graduate, Nanaimo

“I chose to return to school to create better opportunities for my future and gain the skills needed to build a rewarding career. My goal was to grow personally and professionally while developing practical, real-world skills I could take directly into the workforce.

One of the biggest challenges I faced was managing bipolar disorder while balancing the demands of school. There were times when staying focused and motivated was difficult, but with determination, support, and the resources available to me, I persevered.

My experience at Discovery Community College strengthened my confidence, resilience, and time-management skills. For anyone thinking about going back to school, believe in yourself and take that first step. The growth and opportunities that follow are worth it.”
